Revolutionizing Cultural Access and Discoverability: How 8 Cities Joined Forces to Transform Arts Engagement

Project 3R – Co-Creation for Cultural Engagement and Discoverability Enhancement

How might we create a collaborative model that enhances cultural engagement and the discoverability of regional artistic offerings, while adapting to the unique needs and resources of diverse communities?
DOYON+ supported the Project 3R as a collaborator and acted as a consultant and facilitator for this large-scale initiative, aimed at fostering cultural engagement and enhancing the discoverability of artistic and cultural offerings in the regions of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Outaouais, and Northern Quebec. Conducted in collaboration with the Living Lab en Innovation Ouverte (LLio) in Rivière-du-Loup, the Abitibi-Témiscamingue Cultural Council, and several cities, including Gatineau, Oujé-Bougoumou, Rouyn-Noranda, Lebel-sur-Quévillon, Chibougamau, Matagami, Ville-Marie, and Val-d'Or, the project brought together stakeholders from cultural, tourism, and municipal sectors.
Project 3R established an open innovation process to develop flexible, scalable solutions tailored to the specific needs of these territories. By pooling resources and expertise from partners across various sectors, DOYON+ contributed to a collaborative and extensible model, shared in an open framework that allows for continuous evolution within a broader community of users. This unique synergy among cultural, tourism, civic, and public institutions paves the way for sustainable cultural growth, facilitating access to the arts and encouraging citizen engagement.
Project 3R has thus positioned itself as a benchmark in collaborative cultural development, inspiring other initiatives to make cultural assets more accessible and engaging.
